I took a Chocolate Truffle Workshop at Sur La Table a few months back. Our class literally spent an hour going over just the very basics on how to cook with different types of chocolate. This 3 hour course I took made me want to be in that kitchen 24/7. I am looking forward to taking more of their courses over the summer!
While browsing online, I found a bunch of different trade shows and show cases for bakers around the world. Going to one of these events would help me learn a lot more of the little pieces behind the culinary field. In this event, they have hundreds of booths with a variety of cookware, ingredients, and techniques. When I have the opportunity to go to one of these in the future, I’m sure I will learn a lot, and even come up with my own ideas from there.
